TwoMills foundation stock for new Riggit Galloway herd in Cambridgeshire

TwoMills are delighted to welcome a new Riggit Galloway breeder to East Anglia. Paul Day and his Son Burt run Bramblebee Farms at Emneth near Wisbech in Cambridgeshire alongside a highly successful butchery and online business

Customer requests for Galloway beef and the desire to breed a more efficient medium sized native suckler cow to suit their all grass marshland grazing regime has led them to found a Galloway herd.

TwoMills Caramel by Stonehouse Jack Snipe and out of TwoMills Toffee. Shortly to join a new #riggitgalloway breeding herd in Cambridgeshire .

TwoMills Rosy and her heifer calf TwoMills Rose will also join

TwoMills Rosy as a calf herself

We wish Bramblebee Farms every success with their 4 TwoMills foundation females . So glad they are going to a good breeding home and alongside Cardona and Barfil genetics which have in turn #TwoMills #RiggitGalloways in their back story

The bull is Barfil Bill bred by Maggie Gordon, Crocketford, Scotland and sired by TwoMills Reiver's Boy. He joins Bramblebee as foundation sire from the Cardona Herd alongside some red Galloway heifers from Robbie Galloway's Cardona Herd, Doune, Stirling managed by Ewen and Sharon McRobert

With so much flux in the future direction of agriculture in general it's absolutely fabulous to see real World traditional butchers and purveyors of great beef becoming native breed conservation grazing farmers and actively choosing Galloway cattle.
