After 10 very happy years conservation grazing some wonderful Higher Level Stewardship land near Sudbury 27 miles from base, the owner has now moved away and decided to sell the land. TwoMills are seeking additional grazing for the Riggit , Belted and Galloway herds.

Ideally within 10 mile radius. Excellent references and credentials available.

Environmental schemes with payments to land owner and considerate sensitive livestock management

My Son Freddie (10) has recently founded his own Fen Herd to run alongside mine. He currently has one Riggit and one Belted Galloway heifer

Galloways are non selective graziers and when stocked at low density on challenged grazing can help improve and restore magnificent Suffolk landscapes and wild life habitat.

The Riggit Galloway herd's aim to resurrect this archaic colour type of Galloways is an important conservation programme in it's own right and you could be part of that.

Also the conservation of red Galloway genetics across all TwoMills Galloway types

The herd numbers are growing for three reasons: optimising the investment in several new bulls and blood lines, retaining breeding heifers for the TwoMills and Fen Herds and most importantly we wish to take our own stock through to finishing for beef working alongside a superb neighbouring family butcher in Thurston and Pea Porridge Suffolk's Michelin Star restaurant in Bury St Edmunds. Sustainability, provenance, low food miles, slow food at it's best.

To keep grazing land in good heart in the wet winters, TwoMills is seeking additional local cattle housing or a yard for a very short 3 month Winter (December to February).
